More often than not, we think and believe that someone or rather, most people are better than us. Overcoming low Self Esteem isn´t easy when we feel wrapped into Doubts, Fears and Insecurities.
Oftentimes, not knowing how or where to start is frustrating. Knowledge is power. Having a clear understanding of how and where to start building self-esteem is empowering and it will provide the extra drive needed to hit the mark you are aiming at and follow it through.
Our subconscious mind self talks to us over 50,000 times each day. The brain and mind has heard people in society tell them many lies and truths. We need to reprogram our brain to think positive by repeating in a positive way that we have power over our thoughts. This can be accomplished by learning some new tasks or subliminal practices. Mindfulness has its roots in Buddhist meditation and means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our feelings, thoughts, bodily sensations, and our environment. Don´t worry, there is no need for you to start meditating. Just focus on your breathing, or the sights, sounds, and smells around you and be aware that your limiting thoughts and bad emotions are fleeting and do not define you.
#2 Mirrors Don´t Lie
Use a sticky note or a lipstick and leave yourself an inspirational quote or words of encouragement on your bathroom mirror, like “I love myself” or “I am beautiful”. You can even put that on your compact mirror. Here are some rejection quotes to make you feel better.

#4 What to Appreciate?
To get that attitude going the right way, you need to appreciate your face and body for what it is. It may be unrealistic to tell you to love it, but you certainly shouldn’t hate it. You definitely need to value what life has thrown you. Appreciating yourself for who you are and the skills you have, maybe your sense of humor, your eye for design, your creativity, or your organizational skills. Don´t forget to thank others, if you show your appreciation, others will appreciate you too.

Did you know that people with higher self esteem are more likely to give and receive touch than those with lower self esteem? Touch is one of our most fundamental needs as human beings. A massage helps overcoming low self esteem, to relax and to release endorphin’s, the happy hormones. You can try creating self esteem for yourself via touch and self massage! E.g. you can place your 3 center fingers on your temple area and apply a steady firm pressure for 10 seconds. Then rub your fingers gently in a circular motion on your temple area. Your skin absorbs the essential oils, 2. you also breathe them in and 3. you experience the physical therapy of the massage itself. #8 Choose Encouraging People
Surround yourself around encouraging, not discouraging people. Of course, history is important, yet you want to avoid dwelling on past mistakes. Your mistakes are learning tools. Use them, learn from the mistakes, and move ahead.
Plan to do one thing that will help you improves physically, intellectually, emotionally, even spiritually. Making just one change for the better will boost your attitude from the inside out. You can actually chose what you want to change in this category first. Things you do most are the ones you need to focus on. A simple task wont take that long.

It took some learning and time that lead to the way you think now, so it will take time and some changes to reprogram the way you think. Once you’ve worked at changing your attitude to think positive you’ll begin to notice people around you. Your self-confidence and self-esteem will improve largely.
